Unchanged<\/li><li>CAD long 44K vs 33K long last\nweek.&nbsp; Longs increased by 11K.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Markets Update:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Asian stock markets are in positive\nterritory on Monday following the gains on Wall Street Friday as much stronger\nthan expected U.S. jobs data for October and renewed optimism about a\nU.S.-China trade deal boosted risk appetite. The Japanese market is closed for\na holiday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mainland Chinese shares rose by the\nafternoon, with the Shanghai composite up 0.5% and Shenzhen component gaining\n0.6%. In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng index jumped 1.5%. Shares of life insurer AIA\nsurged more than 2%. Elsewhere, South Korea\u2019s Kospi advanced 1.4%, with shares\nof chipmaker SK Hynix jumping 1.9%. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dollar index, which tracks the\ngreenback against a basket of six major rivals, was down 0.02% at 97.222. Those\nsmall moves contrasted with a 1.42% jump in the South African rand against the\ndollar. The currency rallied on relief that Moody&#8217;s maintained South Africa&#8217;s\ninvestment-grade rating on Friday, though the agency cut its outlook on the\nrating to &#8220;negative&#8221;. China&#8217;s yuan also strengthened, with the\npositive market tone around trade talks helping it to rise to a 2-1\/2 month\nhigh against the dollar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oil prices, which had surged on hopes for a\nU.S.-China trade deal, pulled back on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Upcoming Events:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Monday, November 04, 2019&nbsp;&nbsp;
